What AI teammates should — and should not — do
Hand over the busywork, keep the judgement. A practical line to draw.

Good first jobs
Start where the work is repetitive and the cost of a small mistake is low: drafting status updates, summarising long threads, preparing a weekly digest, suggesting a breakdown for a new brief.
In each case a person reads the result before it matters. The agent saves the first draft; you provide the judgement.
Jobs to keep human, for now
Decisions about people, money and promises to clients deserve a human in the loop. An agent can prepare the information; it should not be the one who decides.
Set approvals so that anything outward-facing waits for a person until you trust the pattern.
Make it auditable
Whatever an agent does, you should be able to see it: what it read, what it changed, and why. Trust grows from being able to check.
